In the Ladies NJR Giant Slalom, Olivia Foster (AMB) was on fire in the Under 21 category, convincingly topping the podium, claiming the Under 21 English Champion title and recording the fastest British time with 1.48.04. Over three seconds behind her was yesterday’s Slalom winner Lois Jackson (EVO), who couldn’t quite make it two wins in a row. Jackson clocked an overall time of 1.51.44 and was second on the Under 21 podium. Third on the Under 21 podium was Katie Stuart (AMB) who finished in a time of 1.57.37. Alexa Eliff (CDC) again showed her form, claiming the Under 18 English Champion title and finishing in a time of 1.54.96 as third fastest Brit. She was closely followed by Giselle Gorringe (DRA) who finished in a combined time of 1.56.85 and was second in the Under 18 category. Charlotte Warne (EXL) claimed her first podium of the week finishing third in the Under 18 category in a time of 2.01.43.

For the men, there were three new names on the podium for the Under 21 athletes. Taking top spot and being crowned English Alpine Champion was Leonidas Karavasili (EVO) who won in a speedy time of 1.49.14. Just over a second behind him was Angus Wills, also from Evolution, who clocked up a combined time of 1.50.30. Third place in the Under 21 category went to Edouard Guigonnet who finished in an overall time of 1.50.90. For the Under 18 men, Ted Slade (AMB) showed his skills on the GS, finishing in a time of 1.52.18, narrowly beating Robert Holmes (EVO) to be crowned Under 18 English Alpine Champion. Holmes finished in a time of 1.52.74. Third place for the Under 18s went to Thomas Butterworth (EVO) who finished in 1.53.45.

With the Under 14s getting the chance to take on two Super Gs, the excitement was high over on the Stelvio piste. For the girls, it was Molly Butler (BSA) who was flying today, claiming the win in both races, taking the top spot by just under a second both times. In the first Super G it was Olivia Howeson (EVO) who took second spot, finishing in a time of 52.09 compared to Butler’s 51.21. She was followed by Isabella Tomkinson (EVO) who took third place in a time of 52.45. Maisie Blyth (APX) was fourth and Emily Turner was fifth. In the second of the two girls’ Super Gs, Maisie Blyth stepped up her game and was the second fastest girl down the course behind Butler, finishing in a time of 53.00 compared to Butler’s 52.21. Olivia Howeson was back on the podium, this time taking third place in a time of 54.12. Emily Turner went one better to take fourth and Isabella Tomkinson, this time, finished in fifth.

For the Under 14 boys, there was some impressive racing from Freddy Carrick-Smith (BSA) who claimed the victory in both races, convincingly winning the first race in a time of 49.30 and nudging out his hungry competitors in the second race as well.
