Skier sets new world record with 101 ski lift rides in a day
Oliver Kern from Skiresort.info has set a new world record for the number of different ski lifts rides taken in one day. The previous record of 80 ski lifts was beaten on 11 February 2025 in the Sälen ski region in Sweden. In the ski areas of Stöten, Hundfjället (SkiStar), Tandådalen (SkiStar), Högfjället (SkiStar), Lindvallen (SkiStar) and Kläppen, 101 different ski lifts were used in just under 11 hours. -

Skier to attempt new World record – 100 different ski lifts in one day
Next week, Oliver Kern from Skiresort.info is hoping to set a new record for the most lift rides in one day at the Sälen ski resorts in Sweden. On 11 February, Oliver wants to ski at least 81 different ski lifts in one day in Sweden and thus set his seventh world record. But 81 ski lifts are not enough for him – and he wants to break the 100 mark. -

The Downhill Only Club (DHO) in Wengen, in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland, was founded on 7 February 1925, and is scheduled to celebrate 100 years since its creation with a Roaring Twenties (1920s)-themed dinner at the Hotel Regina in Wengen on Thursday.
