The BRITS Snowboard and Freeski championsips return to Cairngorm in April

Britain’s Freestyle Snowsport championships, the BRITS, return to the UK on 1-2 April 2023 and will be hosted on Cairngorm Mountain in Scotland.

The event, which has previously welcomed current and former British World Cup, World Championships, and Olympic Games athletes including Billy Morgan, Kirsty Muir, and Mia Brookes, will see hundreds of Freestyle athletes compete for the Ellis Brigham British Freeski Championships and the TSA British Snowboard Championships, as well as Banked Slalom and Rail Jam titles. read more

Cairngorm ski and snowboard area funicular back on track

After a four year wait, the funicular railway that provides access to much of Cairngorm ski area above Aviemore in Scotland re-opened on 26 January.

The track was closed after structural problems were identified in the concrete supports. Initial estimates for the repair were listed as £10m but this figure rose to £16m when more detailed tenders were received. However, it has been reported that the final repair bill was closer to £25m. read more

Chris’s role includes overseeing all business operations from large partnership opportunities with global brands to day-to-day customer-oriented matters. He was previously Destination Manager for The Outdoor Capital of the UK where he helped increase the reputation of Fort William and Lochaber as a highland tourism hotspot. read more
