As it looks ahead to its 60th season of operations next winter, Powderhorn Mountain Resort has announced the launch of a limited quantity of 3-Year season passes, providing guests the opportunity to lock in three winters of unlimited access for an introductory price of $999. The new product is a one-time offering designed to honour Powderhorn’s past, reward its most loyal skiers and riders, and kick off the resort’s next chapter.
According to Powderhorn General Manager, Ryan Schramm, the three-year season pass reflects Powderhorn’s long-standing commitment to affordability, reinforcing the resort’s belief that skiing and riding should remain accessible to local families and longtime guests, even as major investments are made in the mountain’s future.
“For 60 years, Powderhorn has been a place people return to again and again – sometimes for generations,” noted Schramm. “This 3-Year Pass is our way of saying thank you to the guests who call this mountain home, while also inviting them to be a part of what comes next. In addition to all the improvements we have made so far, the Wild West Express is a transformational investment, and our anniversary season felt like the right moment to connect the future of the mountain with the people who have supported it all along.”
The 3-Year Pass arrives as Powderhorn prepares for Winter 2026-27 – its 60th anniversary season – and the first full winter of operation for the Wild West Express, a high-speed quad chairlift set to dramatically improve access to the west side of the mountain. Replacing the long-standing West End double, the new lift will significantly shorten ride times, improve access to a large portion of the mountain and fundamentally change how guests experience the resort.
Available in very limited quantities for a limited time, the 3-Year Pass allows guests to avoid any season pass price increase for three seasons while securing one of the strongest multi-year values in Colorado skiing. The introductory price of $999 will later increase to $1,199. 3-Year Pass holders will also receive a limited set of exclusive perks, including select early lift access on predetermined days during the season, a hosted gathering with Powderhorn leadership and commemorative pass media unique to the product. Once the capped number of passes are sold out, the product will be removed from the market.
Installation of the Wild West Express chairlift is scheduled for summer 2026, with the lift debuting for the 2026-27 winter season. Additional details on the lift, anniversary celebrations, and future improvements will be announced as the milestone season approaches.
