In a major step to shape the future of skiing and snowboarding, Vail Resorts is doubling down on accessibility with new pricing for Gen Z and young travellers. Skiers and riders aged 13 to 30 can now purchase the 2026/27 Epic Pass and Epic Local Pass for 20% less than standard pricing.
With the Winter Olympics 2026 drawn to a close, those that are already missing the excitement and eager to experience a bit of Olympic history on the slopes themselves, the Ikon Pass includes nine resorts that have played host to incredible Olympic talent through the years, from the legendary mountains of Chamonix, which hosted the first Winter Games in 1924, to the newly expanded Deer Valley Resort in Utah, a 2002 host set to welcome Olympic talent again in 2034.
As it looks ahead to its 60th season of operations next winter, Powderhorn Mountain Resort has announced the launch of a limited quantity of 3-Year season passes, providing guests the opportunity to lock in three winters of unlimited access for an introductory price of $999. The new product is a one-time offering designed to honour Powderhorn’s past, reward its most loyal skiers and riders, and kick off the resort’s next chapter.

Vail Resorts has revealed some new technology for next season – My Epic Pro for Ski and Ride School. In the 2025/26 season, My Epic Pro will be automatically available in the My Epic app for group lesson participants at Vail Mountain, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keysto
The Rendezvous Music Festival returns to Jackson Hole on 4-5 April 2025, bringing an incredible line-up of artists to the mountains. This year’s festival will see Grammy Award-nominated folk rockers The Avett Brothers closing out the event in Teton Village, while Charles Wesley Godwin kicks things off in Jackson’s Town Square.
A first-of-its-kind project entitled Heaven has been announced by Aspen One, in partnership with the Aspen Art Museum. This expansive project by Los Angeles-based artist Alex Israel that takes the form of a lift ticket, an exhibition, on-mountain signage, activations and merchandise.
Deer Valley have introduced their new ski trail map, including new artwork and an updated aerial projection to reflect the significant terrain expansion for the 2024/25 season. The unveiling of the trail map coincides with the completion of the first phase of the resort’s Expanded Excellence initiative.
Last week, snow fell across all regions of Vail Resorts’ Northern Hemisphere resort operations, bringing with it the start to winter and the 2024/25 ski season.
Nowhere was this more exciting than at Whistler Blackcomb, where nearly 90 inches of snow (228cm) has fallen since 1 November, leading to an early opening on 21 November.
