The stars realign at the La Stüa de Michil restaurant in the Dolomites

The La Stüa de Michil restaurant at Hotel La Perla, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, in the Dolomiti Superski circuit village of Corvara in the Dolomites has regained its Michelin star.

La Perla is the flagship hotel in the Casa Costa collection, owned and managed by the Costa family.

Executive Chef Simone Cantafio (pictured) and his team arrived in 2022 bringing with him his experience of combining the cuisines of West and East gained from his previous work on Hokkaido Island in Japan, where he oversaw the Bras Family’s two-star Michelin restaurant, Toya.

Valentina Stani and the team on the restaurant floor recommend and pair wines from The Mahatma Wine cellar. This houses more than 30,000 bottles from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, and France under the expert care of Silvio Galvan, La Perla’s Head Sommelier.

“We are, of course, incredibly satisfied with the return of the Michelin star to La Stüa de Michil. But more than that, we see it as an acknowledgement of all the hard work carried out by every person here, who has been involved in a common project from the very first day,” said Chef Cantafio.
