Le Ski joins growing list of ski companies which are writing off the 20/21 season

Ski chalet specialist Le Ski has joined the list of companies which have announced they are cancelling all holidays for the rest of the 20/21 season.

The announcement comes in the same week that Hotelplan, the umbrella company for Inghams, Total Ski, and Flexiski, also announced they were cancelling all ski and snowboard holidays until the end of February (see story by CLICKING HERE).

Le Ski said it had taken the decision not to run any holidays this winter because there are simply too many obstacles to operating its usual high quality catered chalet holidays this winter.

The company is contacting all its guests in departure date order to discuss their options but the statement confirmed Le Ski will still be operating the same 32 chalets in Courchevel, Val d’Isère and La Tania with London and Manchester flights and transfers next winter.

Nick Morgan, MD, said: “With the UK in lockdown until at least February, and French ski resorts currently closed with no firm opening date, we have no option but to be decisive and opt not to run our holidays this winter. For the first time in 38 years Le Ski will not take any guests to the Alps this winter.

“While this is sad, we felt we had no choice but to display some certainty and clarity for our guests, staff and suppliers. The vast majority of our amazingly loyal guests are happily deferring to next winter, which is already looking busier than ever. We are immensely grateful to our guests and chalet owners for their understanding, which enables Le Ski to remain a strong company.”
