Snow Camp, the UK’s only charity using snowsports to engage inner-city young people, is celebrating another outstanding year of its flagship fundraising event, the 2026 AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally, held in Val Thorens in France.

New Indoor Snowsport Training Centre Opens

A new indoor snowsport training centre is now open in the grounds of the Luton Hoo Estate on the Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire border.
InPiste opened in October and having enjoyed a successful launch event last month, the centre is now running a series of Open Days – with the first one on Sunday 7 December from 10am to 4pm.
Snowsport England launches Way2Snow: affordable real snow ski lessons
Snowsport England, the national governing body for snowsports in England, has announced the launch of Way2Snow, a campaign which will give people access to affordable ski and snowboard lessons ahead of their first winter holiday.
Date set for Alpine Snowsports Centre re-opening
The Alpine Snowsports Centre in Aldershot is set to reopen to the public tomorrow (Wednesday 28 May).
Places Leisure, which currently operates and manages Aldershot Pools and Lido on behalf of Rushmoor Borough Council, will be running the centre while the council explores long-term options for the facility.
Charity challenge to ski all five UK indoor snow centres in a day
Iain Martin, host of The Ski Podcast, is challenging himself to ski all five of the UK’s indoor snow centres in a single day to raise funds for Snow Camp.
On Friday 30 May, Iain will travel to Tamworth Snowdome, Chill Factore in Manchester, Snozone Yorkshire, Snozone Milton Keynes and The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
Alpine Snowsports Centre set to re-open

The Downhill Only Club (DHO) in Wengen, in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland, was founded on 7 February 1925, and is scheduled to celebrate 100 years since its creation with a Roaring Twenties (1920s)-themed dinner at the Hotel Regina in Wengen on Thursday.

The Ski Club of Great Britain launches new under 35’s membership
The Ski Club of Great Britain has launched a new membership tier for anyone under the age of 35 that provides all the benefits of the club for less than half the normal cost. For £35pp (instead of £75), the annual membership offers access to hundreds of discounts across all the Ski Club’s partners.
Travel agency leader runs the marathon for DSUK
On 21 April, Philip Wright, Head of Iglu Ski Sales and Service completed his first ever marathon, in support of Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK). Crossing the line in 3 hours, 53 minutes and 33 seconds, he raised almost £1,800 for Disability Snowsport UK, Iglu Ski’s chosen charity.
Snow sports inclusion initiative helping to turn young lives around
This winter season, ski and snowboard holiday provider Inghams Ski continued their partnership with young person’s charity Snow Camp. For the second year running, young people from Manchester, London, Birmingham and Glasgow completed a UK-based apprentice scheme with Snow Camp, before travelling to Val d’Isère ski resort in France with Inghams.
