La Plagne’s much-loved Kamicaisse returns on Monday 6 April 2026, bringing a dose of creativity and chaos to the slopes over the Easter weekend.
The annual soapbox race on snow sees teams take to the piste in homemade contraptions, competing not just for speed but for originality and style.

The evening kicks off with a showcase of the wildest builds before competitors launch themselves down the course, battling it out to avoid spectacular wipeouts. Prizes are awarded for the fastest, most inventive and most daring entries, before celebrations continue with an open-air DJ set.
Open to both participants and spectators, Kamicaisse offers a light-hearted highlight of the spring ski calendar, blending alpine sport with festival atmosphere.
